For this Photoshop composite project, I explored the tension between journalistic freedom and media surveillance by visualizing how it feels to be constantly watched as a storyteller. My self-portrait was inspired by the pressing issue of censorship and digital privacy, using visual metaphors like surveillance eyes, cameras, and isolated figures to convey a personal narrative. Through layered imagery and Gestalt design principles, the final piece illustrates the struggle to maintain truth, autonomy, and voice in a monitored world. This project challenged me to reflect on my identity as a journalist and the importance of protecting freedom of expression.
